So, since our region's gimmick is all about planes and flight, I was wondering how frequently our members are on planes, and what they think of them.
Personally, I'm a pretty frequent traveller. I'm usually on between two and ten planes a year. It's always sort of uncomfortable, but you learn to like it, y'know?
So, how about the rest of you?

When I was younger I use to fly quite frequently- there used to be a family vacation to the United States every 18 months or so. It was the proper shebang and all - British Airways business class, with televisions and a built in super nintendo in the back of seats. Since then however, as I'm a student and no where near as minted as my parents, I've been forced to fly super duper basement economy with budget airlines whenever I travel. Needless to say not the most comfortable experiences...

Do you enjoy visiting the US?

I do actually. I don't know why other people give the US a hard time because it's a awesome country. Everything is just bigger and better overthere. I take it you are American?

Yes, camerania and I are both American.
It sounds to me, though, that you like this country more than I do—I think it's okay, but I would much rather live in Canada or Europe.

I enjoy living here, though i dont think we get as much of "the cultural experience" growing up as kids in europe do.

I dunno, America has its own unique cultural experience. Europe is more about historical antiquity and remembering bygone empires, but the USA is more about big modern media.

But the question is—is big modern media a good thing?

Exactly. I guess it depends on where you're from and what you're used to.

I'm American, but live abroad. I travel to the states at least once a year. I'll be starting school there this fall! Always love it when I am back. The air is so much greener compared to where I live, its friendlier and way more laid back. Its cool how you can basically talk to anyone. Never been to Europe though, might be going to the UK this spring to visit some friends!

I live in the United States, but when I visit family I take around a four hour plane trip. I mostly find the experience uncomfortable, and a chore but I've been told my airport isn't the easiest to endure. When I was small, I absolutely hated it, but now it's more a necessary evil in my mind.
